Child's Play Charity

Claar Cellars is proud to announce that for the second year we have been given the opportunity to sponsor the wine at the Child's Play Charity dinner and auction December 9th in Seattle Wasington.

From their website:

"Q: What is Child’s Play?
A: Child’s Play is a Seattle based, gamer-run organization that holds an annual toy drive for childrens’ hospitals. Many of the gifts donated by gamers are, as you might imagine, age appropriate videogames and gaming systems - but they are by no means the only things donated. We received eager donations of coloring books, art supplies, crafts, movies, cartoons, virtually anything a young person could ask for. We asked the world-wide community of gamers, and they gave so much we had to move to larger storage facilities three separate times.

Our 2006 event raised over one million dollars in toys and cash for 40 children’s hospitals around the US and the world, putting the community’s total contribution level since our inception at the two million dollar mark. This year, we’ve expanded Child’s Play again, including more partners in the US and internationally."

Tickets from the dinner, as well as more information about the charity can be found at their website http://www.childsplaycharity.org

Help Claar Cellars Stomp out Breast Cancer!

Claar Cellars is once again holding it's annual grape stomp the first weekend in October.  Here's a flyer about it, I'll just let it do all the talking!  It's a little big, but, for now it sums it up nicely.

Merlot

Our newly release 2005 Merlot was just awarded a Gold Medal at the Central Washington State Fair's "Washington Wine Competition".

Our winemaker, Bruno, says "It has a deep black cherry color. The nose of jammy red fruits is nuanced by notes of cedar and vanilla. The mouth is round and shows a character of ripe concentrated red fruits. Tannins are present but soft to give just enough body for this wine to be a nice red meat match.

Happy Fourth!

Hope everybody had a safe and fun Fourth of July!  Tiffany and I poured at the Rattlesnake Hills Wine Trail's Red, White and Blues festival last night.  It was a great time, great band, great venue, wonderful people.

If we didn't get the chance to see you last night, I hope you'll swing by Saturday or Sunday because we'll be continuing our 2002 Cabernet sauvignon for 86 a case, as well as adding out 2002 Merlot to the sale, and releasing our 2005 Merlot!

Gonna be a great weekend.  Hope to see you soon!

Shopping Cart

We have recently partnered with Vinoshipper.com to allow our wines to be shipped to a number of states that were previously unavailable to us.  This exciting new opportunity can be taken full advantage off by going to www.vinoshipper.com and searching for Claar Cellars, or by following the direct link from our Buy Wine page!

Washington Customers can still use our full feature shopping cart that is built into www.claarcellars.com, however due to shipping specifics, all other states will need to purchase their wine from www.vinoshipper.com

In his spare time Bob was digging around in the warehouse and found some more 2006 Chardonnay.  If you loved the 06 Chard, this is probably your last chance to get some!
